Interior design we did, interior design we love

King George cheers Quick-Step to the podium at Paris-Roubaix

15-04-2022

When the whole world is glued to its screen for the spring cycling classics, it is the perfect time for sponsors to create brand awareness. Quick-Step – main sponsor of The Wolfpack – also wants to thin the line between the race and its products and raise awareness about its quality vinyl, parquet and laminate flooring. For the press conference at Paris-Roubaix 2021, King George created an inspiring and trendy stage with Quick-Step’s materials.

2020 becomes 2021

In 2020, Quick-Step wanted a stage that would act as a venue for interviews and press conferences with the riders at Paris-Roubaix. A stage that would put Quick-Step in the picture both as a sponsor and as a producer of quality flooring. King George went to work with Quick-Step’s various materials and created a homey, cozy atmosphere. Shapes and cut-out floors combined with a balanced color palette created a young and fresh feel. No one imagined that the Quick-Step staging design would have to stay in the barn for a year. But the design did prove to be timeless and quality, just what Quick-Step wants to exude.

Bar Vélo: bar on wheels

The Quick-Step stage at Paris-Roubaix is not the first interior installation design King George has designed for the brand. The stage is actually an interpretation of Bar Vélo, an airstreamer that King George converted into a mobile coffee bar. Bar Vélo was completely furnished with Quick-Step materials and serves as a backdrop for a relaxing cup of gold and many chats and interviews with cyclists and VIPs. The coffee bar already stopped at several classics at home and abroad and keeps not only the riders well awake there, but also fire awareness among the public.

Quick-Step and King George appear to be a match ‘made on the Flemish cobbles’, because there is no lack of a punishing course.
